Explore Zagreb!

Although the Croatian coast draws most of the attention from the rest of the amazing destinations across the country, Zagreb is certainly a city you should visit. As the capital of the Republic of Croatia, Zagreb is a city that is guaranteed to have something for everyone.

All major Croatian motorways pass through Zagreb and branch off to the rest of the Republic of Croatia. Zagreb is extremely well connected, both with the rest of the country and with other European countries. Franjo Tuđman Airport is located in Velika Gorica, only 10 km from Zagreb.

Explore Zagreb and discover the diversity of culture and entertainment that this city has to offer. Take a walk through the Upper Town and enjoy the beautiful architecture while exploring the historic center of Zagreb. You can reach Zagreb’s Upper Town by cable car or stairs.

During the day, take a tour of all the sights of Zagreb and walk through the picturesque streets of the capital. Leave your afternoons and evenings to explore the city’s charming bars and restaurants.

Adventure Avant-style in Zagreb!

Ban Josip Jelačić Square is the main square in Zagreb and has, as such, taken on the role of the city’s modern meeting point. Right is here that you will really be able to soak up the real urban atmosphere that Zagreb exudes. From the main square you can continue towards Ilica if you are in the mood for shopping. Or you can head to Tkalčićeva Street for a relaxing coffee.

Tkalčićeva Street is full of restaurants and cafes. If you want to drink a relaxing morning coffee, sip a cocktail with live music at sunset or sit down for a delicious meal, in Tkalčićeva Street you will surely find something that suits you perfectly.

If you start to miss nature during your visit to Zagreb, don’t worry. Visit Maksimir Park and take a walk through the beautiful greenery of Zagreb’s oldest park.

With a rich history and numerous cultural monuments, Zagreb offers its visitors a wide range of entertainment events and places to visit. On top of the already well-known Museum of Illusions, in Zagreb you can also visit the Chocolate Museum or the Museum of Broken Relationships. When visiting Zagreb, be sure to check if there are any special events taking place that might interest you.

Where to park in Zagreb?

Zagreb is divided into four parking zones, of which the first zone is the most expensive and covers the city center. You can pay for parking in Zagreb online, via text message or at the parking meter. On Sundays, public parking is free in all zones.

In addition to public parking lots, you can also park your Zagreb rental car in one of Zagreb’s public garages. Zagreb has a total of nine indoor public garages, of which the Tuškanac garage is located in the city center.
