Charging infrastructure

Charge juice application

Charge Juice assists the user to find the desired charging station for their electric vehicle, check its availability and activate it. It is a modern application which enables the user a fresh experience and a lot of interesting functions.

Our charging solutions

The charging infrastructure is one of the electric mobility drives; consequently, to improve your users' mobility experience we have designed an all-inclusive solution of fast ”turnkey” charging stations for companies and individuals. Our “charging stations within reach of your hand” project aims at increasing the accessibility of charging stations for our clients.

Charging in Slovenia

Charging electric vehicles is simple. All our electric vehicles can be charged by means of household sockets; if faster charging is desired, relevant public or private charging stations can be used. A list of charging stations and their basic management which comprises for example availability, checking whether they are busy or not, charging activation and the like can also be found in the Charge Juice gratis application. Slovenia is committed to build public fast charging stations at strategically important places (in 2015).

Tesla Superchargers

Since August 2014 Ljubljana (at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel – Mons) has been enjoying the availability of the fastest charging stations for electric vehicles in the world. Having the power of 135 kilowatts, they can charge Tesla Model S at speeds of up to 700 km per hour. It is interesting that the Tesla owners and users have the possibility of “lifelong” gratis charging of their cars, most frequently with the electricity generated from renewable energy resources.

Why an electric vehicle?

There are several advantages of an electric vehicle compared to that with an internal combustion engine. At the environmental level it contributes substantially less to pollution in urban environment (hazardous emissions, noise) while at the level of driving they fill us with enthusiasm because they are simple to manage, have a permanent maximum torque speed, an excellent stability on the roads (due to a lower centre of gravity); and last but not least, the maintenance-related savings and negligible energy-related costs deserve to be mentioned.

What types of electric vehicles are there?

Electric vehicles can be classified into 3 main types: hybrids, plug-in hybrids (PHEV) and battery electric vehicles (BEV). Hybrid EV are fitted with a classic engine and a small battery which is charged while braking. The stored energy is then used to accelerate. Plug-in hybrid EV are also fitted with a classic engine but have a much larger battery which can be charged at home or at public charging stations. Battery EVs are powered exclusively by electricity which replaces all types of fuels. These are the vehicles to be connected to a power supply for the battery to charge.

Which electrical vehicles are already used in Slovenia?

A series of electrical vehicles are used in Slovenia. Avant car covers key automotive classes and fulfil a wide range of our clients needs and wishes. You can choose among the vehicles Smart Electric Drive, Nissan Leaf, Opel Ampera and Tesla Model S which are presented on the subpage dedicated to our electric fleet.

How much does the electrical vehicle “fuel” cost per 100 km travelled?

Currently, most of the public charging stations are free of charge (parking as well); if you use household socket to charge the battery the costs of 100 km drive is approximately 1 euro (charging when the lower rate applies).

How much do electric vehicles cost?

One of the most important costs in the own price of an electric vehicle is the battery. A fast technologic development and daily growing competition on the electric vehicle market have been cutting the price of batteries, which means that the final price of an electrical vehicle has also been dropping and nearing the price of an internal combustion engine vehicle. Every year, government incentives for natural persons and legal entities are available for purchasing electric vehicles. Furthermore, a modern trend is being set worldwide within the framework of which the concept of vehicle ownership has been changing, i.e.: mobility considered as a service (rentals). Since we have been following the trends and trying to actively co-design them by our own development, we have prepared, in terms of our electrical vehicle growing fleet, a series of interesting offers meeting a variety of needs of mobility users: you can see the respective offer on our website.
